The Leadership Seminar Series is designed to enlighten, encourage, and equip
those that are interested in developing and strengthening their personal and
professional leadership skills. Each program year brings different
presenters addressing issues and topics of interest to our community. This
seminar series offers component sessions in both day and evening formats to fit
the busy schedules of those who lead. This seminar series registration is
open to anyone who lives or works in Newaygo County and to those from
surrounding communities.

West Michigan and Newaygo County is fast becoming a bi-lingual community.
Leaders in every facet of business and community need to know the basics of
communicating in Spanish. This four-part workshop will allow you to be
confident to comprehend and communicate everyday situations in the present tense
and allow you to communicate on a basic level with those needing to hear your
message in Spanish.
This course is being used by Fortune 500 Companies across the country to help
prepare people for travel and business where Spanish is the first language.
Natalia Powers is from Buenos
Aries, Argentina and clearly understands the skills and insights necessary to
succeed in today’s multi ethnic workplace. Before joining Not So Basic
Training in 2002, Natalia spent nearly ten years in Human Resources,
specializing in multi ethnic communications, and leadership. Her experience
is diverse, ranging from the automotive industry to small retail. She also
was involved in the transformation of Coca Cola de Buenos Aires, working with
them through the total redesign of manufacturing and sales.

the third installment of a series that brings leaders from across our community
together to focus on the challenges in the changing workplace across our
community and region.

presentation will focus on the changing workplace as reflected in the growing
gaps between generations. The breakout dialogue sessions will focus on
specific issues facing business related to the workforce of today and tomorrow.

and managing partner of Career Strategies Inc. She makes more than 100
presentations a year on topics affecting the evolving workplace. She has
authored six best selling books on political survival in the business world. She
is founder and publisher of Kennedy’s Career Strategist a subscription
newsletter on career planning, job hunting and office politics. She has appeared
on ABC News’ 20/20 and Good Morning America. She received her Bachelors and
Masters Degrees from Northwestern University.
